In the participation of the members of the “Vatan tayanchi” (Support of Motherland) detachment regional stage of the military-sports competition “Vatanparvarlar” was held in the “Yoshlik” sport complex which is situated in Urganch city, in cooperation with the troops of the North-Western military district, department of defense affairs of the Khorezm region, regional council of the Union of youth of Uzbekistan and the Youth affairs agency, and the regional council of the “Vatanparvar” organization, which supports the defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the competition, a total of 13 teams, consisted of pupils who are studying in the upper grades of the schools that won in the Urganch and Khiva city stages, from 11 districts, competed in fierce competitions.
According to the competition law, 7 boys and 3 girls from each team are allowed to take part in the competition. During the military-sports competition, participants tested their strength in the tasks “Skillful sniper”, “Militarized relay”, “Providing first medical aid to injured person” “Singing in the line song”, “Knowledgeable of Amir Temur’s rules” and “Pulling up the turnstile”.
In the new task called “Stars of the support of the Motherland detachment”, included in this year’s law, participants will have to prepare song about the region of their birth in a group of not less than 5 people and sing it.
The deputy commander of the troops of the North-Western military district, colonel Ulugbek Dosmatov recognized in the ceremony of awarding the winner and prize-winner teams, that main attention paid by authority to the growing young generation, the significant work being done to educate them in the military-patriotic spirit. Also, he noted that such competitions are important because they form leadership qualities in youths and promote a healthy lifestyle among them.
As the final results, the “Jasorat” team of the 5th secondary school in Yangiarik district, which showed high results in all tasks, took the III place. Team of “Sher” of the 42nd secondary school of Gurlan district was considered worthy of II place. The winner of the competition was the “Vatanparvarlar” team of 40th secondary school from Honka district, and at the final stage they won a ticket to participate in the competition to bring the Cup of the minister of defense to Khorezm.
Furthermore, attenders were awarded following categories such as “The strongest sportsman”, “The best sniper”, “Knowledgeable of Amir Temur’s rules” and “The best performer” as well.
