Uzbekistan-Tajikistan joint training has been started


Yesterday, the military delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, which arrived in the city of Termiz, was warmly welcomed, and the joint training process “Commonwealth-2022” was launched. After the guests settled in the military unit of  Termiz garrison, plans of actions to be implemented with the participation of Uzbek and Tajik officers were studied in order to prepare for joint training exercises.

     Today, the second day of the joint training “Commonwealth-2022” was continued with the grand opening ceremony. The commander of the South-Western Special Military District Major General Zaynobiddin Iminov and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, Major General Egamzod Sharof Khudoyberdi spoke at the opening ceremony and expressed confidence that the mutual friendly training will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between our countries.

After that, the national flags of the Republics of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were raised to the sounds of  two national anthems. Military personnel involved in the “Commonwealth-2022” training marched through the parade area to the sound of a military band.

     After the opening ceremony, demonstration exercises were performed by Uzbek military personnel at the training points and obstacle paths of Termiz general military training field. During the training, our soldiers took part in practical exercises such as fighting at close range, evacuating the wounded, resisting the conditional enemy attack. During the observation of these exercises, the Tajik military also tested themselves.

      Today’s program also included a football competition between the military personnel of  two countries and an obstacle course exercise at Termiz training field. In the evening, the participants of the event will enjoy performances of lively songs.
