On November The World Health Organization has established a day in which we remember blind people. On the occasion of this date, a charity event called “Hech kim mehr va eʼtibordan chetda qolmasin” (Let no one be left out of love and attention) was held under the motto “Yangi Oʻzbekistonda erkin va farovon yashaylik!” (Let’s live freely and prosperously in new Uzbekistan) in 10th boarding school for blind and visually impaired children in the city on the initiative of one of the military units in the Nukus garrison.

The event pleased schoolchildren without doubt. Military personnel, students of Nukus state pedagogical institute named after Ajiniyaz, singers performed songs in the hall of the actives, and high spirit was shared to all.  The air defense troops of the garrison and the military unit of the air force command took part in the event and cheered up children with physical disabilities with souvenirs.

We are fed up with the defenders of our country, — said Zarina Olimova, a long-time teacher of the school, owner of the “Ma’naviyat fidoyisi” (Devotee of the spiritualty) badge. — They often visit our school, talk with our pupils, attend in concert programs. Recently they planted ornamental and fruit trees in our schoolyard together with the children within the framework of the “Green space” nationwide project.  As a result of attention and care, interest in the military is increasing among our youths. We express gratitude for everything to defenders of Uzbekistan.

On this day, the military personnel cooked palov in a big pot and prepared a festive table for pupils of the boarding school.
