In the aim of discussing bilateral military cooperation issues Azerbaijan defense minister colonel-general Zakir Hasanov came to Uzbekistan with the official visit.
Firstly, guests accompanied by defense minister of Uzbekistan lieutenant-general Bakhodir Kurbanov visited Bahouddin Nakshbandi architectural complex.
After that delegation went to “Bukhara” training field where main part of visit will be held. In the training field official receiving ceremony military delegation in leading by colonel-general Zokir Gasanov was held. On the occasion of the visit honor guard lined. Anthem of two countries were performed by the military orchestra.
During the official meeting, the minister of defense of Uzbekistan emphasized the close and friendly relations between the two countries, highlighting that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are committed to further strengthening their cooperation in the field of defense.
Development prospects of cooperation between the two countries in military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
While conversing ministers of defense exchanged opinion on achievements in the field of defense and discussed plans for future collaboration. Proposals were put forward to enhance and expand their cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a military cooperation memorandum for the year 2024 was signed between the two nations.
