The Uzbek military acquired the 2nd place in the “Cambria Patrol “international competition

The Uzbek military gained the second place in the Cambria Patrol international competition, repeating last year’s result.

144 teams from a total of 24 countries of the world took part in the “Cambria Patrol” international competition of intelligence and special units held in Brecon, Great Britain, on October 4-12 this year.

Particularly, the  host Great Britain, Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Greece, Ireland, Germany, Latvia, France, Ghana, Italy, India, Poland, USA, Switzerland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Wales, Nepal, Scotland, Australia, Pakistan, Mexico, Albania , Chile, Kazakhstan, New Zealand Armed Forces teams consisting of military intelligence and special units competed among themselves.

The course of the competitions is 90 km. the distance consisted of different levels of complex conditions, several combat missions were performed every 8-10 km.

Additionaly, using means of protection against weapons of mass destruction, passing through the affected area at a distance of 3 km, scouting the area and crossing a mountain river, providing first aid to the wounded, evacuating the injured in various ways, crossing a mine barrier individually and in a group, organizing an attack on an enemy object , the military put their skills to the test in conditions such as freeing hostages and interrogating prisoners of war.

Furthermore, 8 unexpected “test surprise” tasks were given to the teams. According to them, determining the types of weapons and military equipment of foreign countries, directing artillery fire with the help of simulation and communication equipment, fulfilling the standards of military topography, passing the test in agreement with the Geneva Convention, preparing and compiling reports on intelligence, fulfilling the standards of communication training, in consonance with the completed activities and further the processes of notification of readiness to perform tasks were also intense.

Thus, confirming  to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the team of the host country – Great Britain, the second place was gained by the team of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, which surpassed the teams of large countries, and the third place obtained by the team of Pakistan.

For information, the team of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan took the 1st place in the 2019 competitions of this prestigious competition, and the 2nd place in 2020-2021.
