“ArMI—2022”: First gold medals from our representatives

The “Road Patrol” competition hosted by the city of Kokand as part of the VIII International Army Games “Army-2022” has come to an end. Teams of military personnel from the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Belarus competed in this 4-day competition. Teams competing against each other under 6 conditions in 2 stages in total, put their knowledge and skills into practice by fulfilling conditions such as “individual race”, “technical break”, “extreme stop”, “parallel parking”, “contravariation”, “military relay”.

The team consisting of military personnel of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which did not lose its advantage in any conditions during this competition, was declared the winner of the competition according to the final results. The team of the Russian Federation, which actively participated in all conditions during this competition, gained the second place, and the representatives of the two countries, the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran, acquired the third place.

 It should be noted that in this competition senior lieutenant Jamoliddin Egamberdiev and junior sergeant Muzaffar Tolaboev were awarded in the nomination “The best technical assistant”, while sergeant 3rd class Siddiq Azamov was recognized as unsurpassed in the nominations “Extreme driver” and “Universal specialist”.

On August 21 of this year, at 19:00 in the evening, the grand closing ceremony of the “Road Patrol” competition, which is being held as part of the International Army Games, was conducted in Kokand, the city of craftsmen. It was attended by Colonel Alisher Norboev, Deputy Minister of Defense for Arming and Armament, officials of the participating countries, representatives of state and public organizations, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, veterans and youth, journalists and bloggers.

Those who spoke at the ceremony noted that the competition was interesting and full of heated debates, and thanked the participants who showed their skills in all conditions. After that, the teams that were declared winners and prize-winners of the competition were invited to the stage one after another.The team members of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Belarus, who gained the third place in the competition, were awarded bronze medals, and the team of the Russian Federation, who aquired the second place, received silver medals.
