The Ministry of defense of Uzbekistan stage of the all-army sports competitions in military-practical and Olympic sports which are held on the scale of the Ministry, have started at the Armed Forces academy.
At the official opening ceremony of the competition responsible officers of the Ministry of defense, leaders and teams of military districts and commands, military sportsmen, active youths, veterans and representatives of the general public, demonstration performances of the flag-carrying group and the honor guard consisting of cadets attended as well as. Also, the head of the general directorate of the Ministry of defense on Combat training, Colonel Rahmatilla Rahmonov participated in the ceremony and expressed to all team success in the competitions.
During the current competition which will last until April 20, 12 teams from military districts and commands, associations and higher military educational institutions will compete.
In the event military personnel of the Tashkent military district and students of general education schools of the Yashnabad district performed hand-to-hand combat training. In addition, concert programs which were performed by well-known artists of our country, the song and dance ensemble of the Armed Forces and the central military orchestra of the Ministry of defense gave high spirit to participants.
For information, in order to hold the army games at a high level, highly qualified experts and referees from the sport federations of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been recruited.
Participants of the competition will compete in different directions, such as “Army biathlon”, “Shooting sports, “Tosh ko‘tarish” (Stone lifting), “Knife throwing”, “HSK all-athlete”, “Athletics”, “Hand-to-hand combat”, “Milliy kurash” (National wrestling), “Officers’ triathlon”, “Badminton” sports, and half-marathon races at distances of 3, 10 and 21 kilometers as well.
Winners and prize-winners will be awarded with commemorative badges, trophies and valuable gifts of the Minister of defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
