“Grand Slam” tournament for Taekwondo WT which was held in Wuxi city of China finished. First golden medal was reached by Olympic champion, sportsman of the sport center of the Ministry of defense of Uzbekistan, Ulugbek Rashitov who was competing in -68 kg weight category. Uzbek taekwondo athlete defeated Danial Bozorgishoob of Iran in the final.
In the second day of the competition selected team of Uzbekistan reached from one golden and bronze medals.
Sportsmen of the sport center of the Ministry of defense of Uzbekistan who won all rivals in -80 kg weight category, particular, Armed Forces serviceman Jasur Jaysunov became a winner of tournament. And world champion Svetlana Osipova (+73 kg weight category) reached bronze medal.
According to the final results, Uzbekistan finished competition with 2 golden medals and 1 bronze medal.
Winner sportsmen were received festively from the Tashkent International airport named after Islam Karimov. In the receiving ceremony chapans — Uzbek national customs were dressed in to sportsmen and commemorative gifts were presented.
