Importance of museums to educate youth in the spirit of patriotism

A roundtable discussion was held on the topic “The role of museums to educate youth in the spirit of patriotism” with the participation of heads of the state museum operating in Tashkent, representatives of tourist companies and The Cultural heritage agency under the Ministry of tourism and cultural heritage at the State museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the opening ceremony of the roundtable discussion, wreaths were laid by the leaders of the state museum at the feet of the “Oath to the Motherland” statue erected in the territory of the State museum of Armed Forces. After that, the participants were given excursions to the exhibits of bows and arrows, hunting weapons, which were a great discovery in the beginning of mankind in the territory of Central Asia, located in the museum “Ancient times and the early Middle ages” corner.

While getting acquainted with the exhibits, participants of the event traveled to the past and learned about people who lived in ancient times, their lifestyle, the development of defense and weaponry, the military equipment and equipment which used to protect the areas where they lived.

In the afternoon, museum directors organized a tour of the Armed Forces academy. First, the participants got to know the exhibits. After that, the event was continued in the meeting hall of the academy. The heads of the museum participated in it with their lectures, gave detailed information about their museums, and introduced their prospective plans for the high-level organization of the work on the wide promotion of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the museum collections.

In the creative part of the event, the patriotic songs of the Armed Forces central song and dance ensemble brought good mood to the participants and ended the roundtable discussion.
