On Sunday in the football area of the Armed Forces academy among the veterans of unit of forces “Cup of the Minister of Defense” competitions were started. Competition is being held on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, and 8 teams are attending in it.
Teams will compete for the semi-final to be divided into “A” and “V” groups, and three meeting will be held. Opening play of the tournament “Mudofaa-1” team of the Ministry of defense and troops of the National guard “Gvardiyachi” veterans team competed. At this interesting play “Mudofaa-1” team allowed 7 balls to the rival team’s goal. 6 of goals were written to colonel Shavkat Mamajonov’s score. First meeting of the “V” group was over with 3:2 result, “Mudofaa-2” team lost behind “Posbon” team of the Ministry of internal affairs with little difference. In the competition between the “Chegarachi” and “Veteran” veteran frontier guards prevailed – 3:1.
As you see, at the competition teams of the Ministry of Defense, State security service, Border troops of the State security service, Ministry of internal affairs, Ministry of emergency situations, Office of public prosecutor of the Tashkent garrison, National guard and “Veteran” team which consists of warrior-veterans and disabled people are competing for the cup of the minister of defense. Tournament will continue till 15th January of next year and on this day at the final stage winner team of the competition will be announced.
Among the veterans who are competing in the green area there are former Central military sport club teams which had been prize winner at the “Antalya soccer cup-2022” tournament which was held among the champions of Uzbekistan and veterans, and this is supplying competitions once more interesting.
