On December 10, 2021, the head of state made a decision to further increase the effectiveness of the training of military personnel with high professional and physical skills in our national army, and to maintain the high combat readiness of the troops.
As stated in the Resolution “On additional measures to ensure a high level of physical training of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, it is planned to award the military personnel of all forces who have successfully passed intensive tests with the “Courageous Warrior” distinguishing badge.
In this regard, about three hundred candidates lined up in the opening ceremony of the training session dedicated to this intensive test at the “Forish” training field of the Central Military District under the direction of the Ministry of Defense. Colonel Oybek Saidov, the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel Rahmatullo Rahmanov, the head of the Ministry of Defense’s General Department of Combat Training, wished good luck to the servicemen applying for the “Brave Warrior” badge, and the event was announced open. The flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Defense was carried from Marching Square to the sounds of our country’s national anthem.
Participants from all military districts, Air Force and Air Force Commands, Classified Object Protection Commands, and Armed Forces Academy teams will test their luck in ten days of intensive testing at the Forish Field Training Area. Candidates for the distinction “Courageous Warrior” will be divided into groups and take part in three-stage tests consisting of various exercises lasting from 9.00 to 18.00. The first phase consists of strength training, the second phase consists of a 30 km walk (marching run), and the third phase consists of general control exercises on a single obstacle course, shooting from firearms and throwing knives.
It is not possible for everyone to perform tests that do not seem complicated at first glance. Therefore, it is not yet known how many of the applicants participating in the tests for the first time will be awarded the “Brave Warrior” distinguishing badge. In a few more days, the names of the owners of the “Brave Warrior” badge will be announced. They are incentivized with a military rank together with a badge and a one-time monetary award equal to one times the salary of the position.
