“ArMI-2022” international competition started at “Forish” training field

On August 15, the “Master Gunsmith”, “Safe Environment” and “Field Kitchen” competitions of the VIII International Army Games “ArMI-2022” hosted by Uzbekistan started at the “Forish” mountain training field  of the Central Military District.

     The Ministry held a press tour for representatives of the republic’s mass media in order to familiarize them with the conditions created at the “Forish” training field. The judges of the International Army Games held a press conference as part of it. During the conference, journalists received answers to the questions they were interested in.

After that, the media representatives got acquainted with the conditions created for the competition participants at the training field. He also visited the area where the “Field Kitchen” competition was held and observed the skills of military chefs from different countries.

At 19:00 in the evening, a grand opening ceremony of the competitions hosted by Uzbekistan at the “ArMI-2022” International Army games was held on the training field.

It was attended by officials of the Ministry of Defense and participating countries, senators, representatives of state and public organizations, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, veterans and youth, journalists and bloggers.

An exhibition defile of the Central Military Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense, a large concert program performed by well-known artistic teams and artists, and artistic performances representing the culture of various nations were presented. Cadets of the Armed Forces Academy performed demonstration performances with weapons.

It should be noted that this year the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan is participating in 20 directions of the VIII International Army Games. 257 teams from 37 countries will compete in competitions covering 34 directions.

We remind you that a total of 277 teams from 42 countries competed in the 2021 International Army Games, in which the teams of our country participated in 24 directions. According to the general results, the teams of our country won 4 gold, 9 silver and 4 bronze medals and took the 2nd place overall, and 10 of the 37 record results were broken by the military personnel of our country.
