International military cooperation: new methods are being used to improve the marksmen’s skills in the “Gurumsaray” training ground

The Ministry of Defense’s marksmanship training center, located in the “Gurumsaray” training ground of the Eastern Military District, is hosting theoretical and practical trainings with the participation of specialists from the Uzbek and French Armed Forces.

On the first day of the training, a briefing was organized with the participation of representatives of both parties and several issues such as: the organization of preparatory training with the participants of the meeting using the conditions created in the territory of the center, conducting theoretical and practical stages of training, paying attention to the peculiarities of marksmanship in the training process, and conducting a new format of methodical and practical shooting exercises have been agreed upon.

The representatives of the delegation got acquainted with the combat and other educational programs organized for marksmen at the center, and also, they were directly involved in conducting tactical exercises in mountainous, urban and desert conditions, as well as effective organization of day and night shooting exercises. Moreover, the delegation attended the training process in the classrooms so that they had more information about the educational system of the Center.

Analyzing the results of day and night practical shooting exercises, the French experts noted that one of the most advanced sniper training centers in Uzbekistan has been established.

In the framework of joint theoretical and practical training, the parties analyzed the reforms, achievements and issues in the field based on real results, and reached an important agreement on the further implementation of the skills and competencies acquired.
